1. The data controller

AddBérbe.hu is operated by Pető Levente, a private individual (the “Operator”). Contact: info@addberbe.com.

2. What data do we handle?

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored encrypted). If you sign in with Google or Facebook, the name, email address and identifier we receive from that provider.
  • Listing data: the information you enter in a listing (city, price, description and so on). This appears publicly on the site.
  • Messages and applications: messages between users and the introductions sent with applications, visible only to the parties involved.
  • Student parcels and student marketplace interest: if you say you are interested on the student parcels or the student marketplace page, we store the click, which page and which link it came from, the page language and – if you give it – your e-mail address, solely to tell you when the service launches.
  • Technical data: the cookies required to keep you signed in, to submit forms securely and to remember your chosen language. We use no marketing or tracking cookies and measure visits without cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent.

3. What do we use the data for?

Solely to run the service: identifying your account, displaying listings, letting users contact each other, and sending service emails (for example, that a new message has arrived). We send a newsletter – what is new on the site and renting tips, at most monthly – only if you ticked the box for it when signing up or in your profile; you can withdraw that consent in your profile at any time. Beyond that we do not use your data for marketing and do not sell it to third parties.

4. How long do we keep it?

Until you delete your account. You can request deletion at info@addberbe.com; your listings and personal data are then deleted.

5. Data processors

  • Hosting: Laravel Cloud (running the application and database)
  • Email delivery: Amazon Web Services (SES)
  • Sign-in providers (if you use them): Google, Meta (Facebook)
  • Traffic statistics: Plausible – cookieless measurement that collects no personal data

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu).
